Overview

Gardening Journal (“the app”) is a personal gardening tracker for iOS. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data is collected and how it is used.

Data We Collect

Data you enter: Gardens, beds, plantings, journal entries, and photos you create in the app are stored on your device and synced to your private iCloud account via CloudKit. This data is never accessible to the app developer.

Location: If you grant location permission, your approximate location is used solely to fetch a local weather forecast via Apple WeatherKit. Your location is not stored or transmitted to any server other than Apple’s WeatherKit service.

Data We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect analytics or usage data.
• We do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
• We do not sell or share your data with any third party.

iCloud Sync

All app data synced via iCloud is stored in your private iCloud database. The developer has no access to this data. Apple’s iCloud privacy policy applies: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/

WeatherKit

Weather data is fetched from Apple’s WeatherKit service using your device location. Apple’s privacy policy governs this data: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
